About Andy

Photography shaped by climbing, travel and the outdoors.

Before photography became the center of my work, I spent more than a decade as a graphic designer in Chicago, followed by five years traveling the country, climbing and working from the road.

During those years, my wife Jess and I ran our graphic design studio, Silver Egg Studios, from a polished 1969 Airstream. Photography grew naturally alongside that work as more of my time was spent climbing, traveling and working outdoors.

Today I photograph adventure sports, outdoor lifestyle, products and editorial assignments for brands and publications, along with event photography for agencies and organizations. I’m based in Asheville, North Carolina and available for assignments throughout the region and beyond.
